You are so very welcome Jennifer, sometimes it is one of those 'easier said than done' things -- it's a CONSTANT practice for me. Somedays I'm better at it than others, but I'm getting better at noticing. Tiny steps. Sending you a big hug, thanks for reading!
As always your writings from the heart just reach in & touch mine. We used to go to Wildwood every other summer & gosh did I think it was FANCY! We'd stay in the same cute little motel a few blocks off the beach & it seemed so exotic to me. Wildwood LOL
I think I also felt that Wildwood was exotic lol! My best friend's grandparents also owned a snack bar in Ocean City, and I spent many summers there ... working at the snack bar so that we could save up enough money to go to the boardwalk and have sepia-toned photos taken of ourselves dressed up as NYC mobsters. Those were the good old days. Thanks for reading, friend -- love you!
Thank you for the reminder to "just stay present". Some days the simplest things can be a challenge.

I love going back in my “mental time machine” and finding something relevant from the past. You wrote a great analogy here!!
