This is one of the many reasons I am a fan of you, of Kula Cloth and the whole Universe it touches. It's a good reminder that when I go out on my daily walks and hikes it would be good to start with Sharon Salzberg's Metta Meditation which I have been doing for years and feels like such a small but real way to wish as she's says "All Beings, Everywhere and without distinction - be safe, happy, healthy and live with ease." Such a good practice. Love that you finally are an artist on a Kula Cloth! XOXOX, Jane-Ellen
Thank you so much Jane-Ellen! A Metta meditation is exactly ABG!! It's a powerfully active form of giving to all beings everywhere (including yourself). Amanda is convincing me to paint my very first Founder's Artist Series Kula... I'm excited about it!!
You should totally do it! Hey, I'm always looking for good End of Season gifts for my volunteers. I actually had a volunteer the other day who had not heard of Kula Cloth! What wait?! But it got me thinking. I've got somewhere around 50-60 summer volunteers and also have about 25-30 folks for our Snowshoe Program (plenty of overlap so I'd probably choose one). AND it's all humans not just us squatters. Any ideas? Maybe Minis with something like Ask Me About LNT or Recreate Mindfully or or or that could just be pack or belt loop hangers for everyone and handy mini's for those of us who need them. Anyway, just wanted to say the thing out loud. We don't usually celebrate the season until later in October so there is time. I'll also need it to figure out my creative financing plan - some how I find ways to make it work:) The back of Robin Wall Kimmerer's new and delightful little book "The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World" says All flourishing is mutual. I feel like the is what your writing and painting and being is cultivating. Bravo!
Ok, now I'm crying after that video! What a sweet conspiracy! and thanks for this reminder of ABG. Giving in the form of an acronym is a fun mind worm!
And thank you for the inspiration to “always be giving”! I think, like you, I have spent most of my life feeling a lack and holding on to things. And as an extreme introvert I NEVER spoke to strangers unless they spoke first. But I recently have started complimenting both total strangers and casual acquaintances about hair, clothing, jewelry, etc. which I never did before. It’s a small step, but I’m trying, and heading in the right direction. Thanks for the encouraging reminder!
OMG, I just ran across that quote, “You are the sky, everything else is just the weather” several weeks ago, and I wrote it down and saved it because it was so profound! Please, please start selling that Kula and others, so everyone else can enjoy your artwork and wonderful choice of quotes!

Wasn't it so kind of them? I was genuinely shocked and not expecting it and totally overwhelmed. I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it, thank you Beck!!
I love to marry you
It’s so beautiful! I’m so happy they gifted you this - and I hope it inspires a new line of Kula’s!
That Pema Chodron quote is taped to my desk at work! That is a beautiful painting and of course perfect on a Kula Cloth!
