Big mahalo for sharing and elaborating :>) What a fun read. Harvey story: I moved to the Olympic Peninsula from CO over a year ago. One place I miss is a state park mere miles from my former home. It is a huge ranch property donated to the state and has many old cabins scattered around, some restored. One particular trail is on property once owned by CO's first Pulitzer Prize winner, Mary Coyle Chase, playwright of Harvey. There is a sign by the Chase Cabin with a rabbit silhouette and it is popular with geocachers. I always looked forward to hiking past the sign and chuckling at that great old movie!

Hands down,”Harvey,” has ALWAYS been my favorite movie. I also put Moby Dick in my top pick for book as well as A Tale if Two Cities, Dracula and Julie of the Wolves (which I loved because I read it to you💞) There are so many books that I associate with sharing with you girls it is difficult to choose. My favorite food is Vietnamese cuisine. Thanks for the great AMA!

Wow! I don’t know any other women who would list Moby Dick as a favourite book! I LOVE it. I like Neil Gaiman, and somehow have never read the Graveyard book! I’m excited to have a new Gaiman book. My favourite book is “Heart of Darkness” by Joseph Conrad. It connected me with my father, who gave it to me to read at a time in my life when I was sort of done with books, having grown out of children’s literature while still considered “too young” by my teachers to be offered anything other than the age-appropriate stories in the curriculum and “too young” by local librarians to be allowed to read books from the adult section.

The prose blew my mind, each phrase so perfect, each word so full and clear and sentences evoking whole scenes and emotional landscapes. Joseph Conrad is one of my father’s favourite authors, and now he is one of mine.

I’m excited to find a copy of the audiobook of Moby Dick with the narrator you mentioned.

Courtney - that version of Moby Dick (specifically the audio one) literally changed my life. I cannot possibly begin to describe the ways in which the narrator brings it to life. It's INCREDIBLE. Moby Dick has also connected with my dad too.

I actually just finished a book that I've been reading... and for some reason I feel like I might have read Heart of Darkness, but I don't specifically recall it - so I'm going to read it starting today. I've been trying to find a new book to read.

Secondly - I *have* a paperback copy of The Graveyard Book that I've been saving for the right moment to give somebody. It appears that moment is now. Watch your mailbox ... I'll send it your way. I actually recently recommended this book to another friend... she loved it so much that she told me she actually felt very sad when it was over, because it had been such a delightful experience to read. I cannot say enough good things about the book - it's pretty remarkable and special.

Very fun list! My favorite movie, if I had to pick one, is Moonstruck! I’m a sappy romantic 😂 or maybe Fried Green Tomatoes! Or Pretty Woman! Or . . . This could go on and on!

My cat is named Elwood after Elwood P. Dowd! Harvey and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (which references Harvey) are two of my favorites. Auntie Mame is also a great one. I became an aunt at 20 and I always joke that I use Auntie Mame as my guide. The audio version of American Gods that was the 10 year anniversary ( I think) is amazing. Anything read by Jim Dale is worth the listen. And listen to the LeVar Burton reads podcast. They are excellent short stories.

NO WAY!!! Why does it not surprise me that you are a Harvey fan too?! I need to check out Auntie Mame - I've never seen that one. I was actually talking about American Gods today - one of my all time favorites too. Ooooh, and a huge LeVar Burton fan as well. Amazing recommendations - I didn't even know he had a podcast. Thank you SO MUCH Kelly! I am so grateful you are here!
