Notes from the pee cloth lady

*a moment of grace

Dear Kula Diaries,

This week, I recorded a video message for all of you, because it was one of those weeks where I didn’t have much time to sit down. I’m actually immensely proud of myself that I did this, as it represents me giving myself a moment of grace. It probably comes as no surprise that I’m a bit of an self-imposed overachiever and perfectionist, but I’ve been actively working to loosen these bonds.

I had a lot of fun opting to record a video instead of writing — it felt easy and freeing, as opposed to churning out content while stressed and overworked. I also hope it gives you a teeny peek into what a ‘normal’ week as a pee cloth entrepreneur looks like — keeping in mind that my schedule is anything but normal. Gone are the days of shift work and predictability … here to stay is an adventurous schedule that also includes moments of deep satisfaction, connection and love.

Things of note for this week …

This is a photo from our event at REI HQ on Tuesday. Allison, our event coordinator, made the most incredible photo booth that includes a backcountry box toilet. It’s amazing:

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this shirt that my husband surprised me with this week — it features Royal Princess Donut and her pet, Mongo the Velociraptor. These are both characters from the audio book series that we are currently listening to called, Dungeon Crawler Carl:

Also, for some reason my video editing app swapped the clips in my video: the talking was supposed to be first and the music was supposed to be second, but when I downloaded the video, it was like this… and I decided to keep it that way!
