Hello Kula Diaries friends -
I am excited to share our July 2024 Event schedule. Calls will be recorded for any subscribers who can’t make it (but please let me know in advance if you want the recording!). These events have been really wonderful, and I genuinely enjoy hosting them every single month and getting to know some of you.
To join, you must be a paid subscriber of the Kula Diaries. This costs $5 per month. I am absolutely positive that the value of these events will far exceed your $5 investment. You can also cancel at any time. I put my heart into these classes and all of the content for The Kula Diaries because I really believe that it is valuable and important. It gives me a lot of joy to share conversation and writing with all of you and I am infinitely grateful for the opportunity.
Event Descriptions:
Kula Diaries Creative Power Hour - Wednesday July 10, 10am pacific: This is an hour long creative ‘mastermind’ type session where you can talk about anything that is important to you. This is a space where you are allowed to be excited about whatever you want to create - without needing to know ‘how’ it is possible. It’s a place where you can start to actually FEEL the realness of those things - without needing to see them first. You do not need to be an entrepreneur to attend this session. We have folks from all walks of life who attend and find value in talking about what they want to create and focus on.
Kula Diaries (Virtual) Dance Party - Thursday, July 18th 5pm pacific: This is about a 45 minute session with me… fun, joyful movement. If you’ve never tried it - be open and just see what happens. I guarantee you will feel amazing. I curate the playlist based on the themes that I’ve written about over the past month - so it really feels (and is) very special. I’ve truly enjoyed the Kula Diaries dance parties that I’ve hosted so far - they are unique and special, and even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘dancer’ - just come see what happens when you try something out of your comfort zone! You might be surprised.
Evening Mindfulness Meet Up - Tuesday, July 23, 5pm Pacific - This class is the continuation of what was formerly known as ‘cell phone mindfulness’, but it has really morphed into an evening mindfulness/creativity/power hour — all are welcome to join! Many folks who read my story about social media addiction indicated that they shared the same struggles that I did. Note: this is not a therapy program… this is an intentionally curated group for people who want to begin the process of being more mindful in everyday life. During the course of these sessions you will be creating your own vision and feeling for what you want to embody on a daily basis.
Kula Diaries Book Club - Friday, July 26, 10am pacific: You do not need to have attended any prior sessions in order to join this one. If you are interested, please join us! We are starting a NEW BOOK this month — and my plan is to discuss the entire book. The book for June is: take less. do more. by the founder of Gossamer Gear, Glen Van Peski. Gossamer Gear has been a huge supporter of Kula Cloth since the very beginning — and I think this book is a perfect fit for our group! Glen is donating 100% of the proceeds from his book to the PCTA (Pacific Crest Trail Association). So, your assignment, should you choose to accept it — is to read the book prior to the end of July, and then attend our book club and be ready to discuss it! Sometimes we make it through a whole book in one session — other times, our discussion is very deep, and we opt to discuss a book for an additional month. I’m really looking forward to this book, and can’t wait to share it with all of you!
The Zoom links for all of the events are below - so if you lose the e-mail reminder, you can always come back to this post for reference. Can’t wait to see all of you!
Currently, the live events are available to paid supporters of the Kula Diaries. For less than $5 per month, you will absolutely find that the intangible value of these events far exceeds that donation. The subscription prevents ‘zoom bombers’ from gaining access to a public link — and it helps support my Kula Diaries project, which is a true labor of love. I am so unbelievably grateful for all of your support and I love getting to connect with all of you. So, thank you for being here.
