Hello Kula Diaries friends -
I am excited to share our February 2024 Event schedule. For the month of January, in addition to the three ‘standard’ events, I’ve also added in at least one ‘Cell Phone Mindfulness Meet Up’ (with an option to add one more at the end of the month, if needed!). Our Creative Power Hour for the month will be a reflection on our intention setting for 2024. Calls will be recorded for any subscribers who can’t make it (but please let me know in advance if you want the recording!).
To join these classes, you must be a paid subscriber of the Kula Diaries. This costs $5 per month. I am absolutely positive that the value of these events will far exceed your $5 investment. You can also cancel at any time. I put my heart into these classes and the content for The Kula Diaries because I really believe that it is valuable and important. It gives me a lot of joy to share with all of you, so I am infinitely grateful for the opportunity.
Event Descriptions:
Kula Diaries Creative Power Hour - Wednesday February 14, 10am pacific: This is an hour long creative ‘mastermind’ type session where you can talk about anything that is important to you. You may come prepared with a vision board (any style - images or words or just ideas), or simply listen. This is a space where you are allowed to be excited about whatever you want to create - without needing to know ‘how’ it is possible. It’s a place where you can start to actually FEEL the realness of those things - without needing to see them first. You do not need to be an entrepreneur to attend this session. We have folks from all walks of life who attend and find value in talking about what they want to create and focus on.
Virtual Dance Party - Thursday, February 15th, 5pm pacific: This is about a 45 minute session with me… fun, joyful movement. If you’ve never tried it - be open and just see what happens. I guarantee you will feel amazing. I curate the playlist based on the themes that I’ve written about over the past month - so it really feels (and is) very special. I’ve truly enjoyed the Kula Diaries dance parties that I’ve hosted so far - they are unique and special, and even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘dancer’ - just come see what happens when you try something out of your comfort zone! You might be surprised.
Cell Phone Mindfulness Meet Up - Tuesday, February 20th, 5pm Pacific - This class is the continuation of an ongoing cell phone mindfulness practice — all are welcome to join! Many folks who read my story about social media addiction indicated that they shared the same struggles that I did. Note: this is not a therapy program… this is an intentionally curated group for people who want to begin the process of being more mindful about phone/social media usage. During the course of these sessions you will be creating your vision for your ideal relationship with social media and your cell phone… designing your action plan… and practicing accountability with others as you take steps to intentionally create a healthier relationship with technology… and most importantly… your real life.
Kula Diaries Book Club - Friday, February 23rd, 10am pacific: You do not need to have attended any prior sessions in order to join this one. If you are interested, please join us! The book that we are currently reading is The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. For our next session, we will be discussing (approximately) from pages 120-180ish. Even if you haven’t joined our sessions before, please join! The discussions are fun and meaningful.
The Zoom links for all of the events are below - so if you lose the e-mail reminder, you can always come back to this post for reference. Can’t wait to see all of you!
Currently, the live events are available to paid supporters of the Kula Diaries. For less than $5 per month, you will absolutely find that the intangible value of these events far exceeds that donation. The subscription prevents ‘zoom bombers’ from gaining access to a public link — and it helps support my Kula Diaries project, which is a true labor of love. I am so unbelievably grateful for all of your support and I love getting to connect with all of you. So, thank you for being here.
